Scripture Passage of the Week - Hebrews 4

Mark summarized the chapter ... and focused on v. 12 ... "the word of God is living and powerful...." The word of God divides and discovers ... it discerns our spiritual condition ... it is our judge, not subject to our judgment.

Alan mentioned the power of the word to cut away things in our lives that don't belong there. He also commented on v. 16 ... coming boldly to the throne of grace.

Mike B. spoke of the word as a library, stored in our minds for reference as need arises ... and the importance of stocking that "library" in the lives of our children.
