Recent Email from the Whites

Here are some excerpts from a recent email from Daniel and D'Ann White and family ... our missionaries to Mexico.

----------------------------------------------------

Thank you brethren for your continual prayers and support for the ministry and for our family.

We certainly enjoyed the fellowship and desire to thank the Church at McDonough, GA; Madison St. Baptist Church of Athens, AL; Heritage Family Church of Pell City, AL; and Bible Baptist Church of McKinney, TX. The generosity of these churches allowed us to make the long journey, while the price of gasoline was so high.

Roberto and I are continuing our Bible studies in Guerrero. The attendence ranges from four to ten adults, and we give God all the praise and honour for what he is accomplishing.

Concerning the possiblity of helping Br. Flores establish a work in Granja, it seems (at least for the present) that our efforts are better spent elsewhere. It is just not the right time and we have enough projects to keep us more than busy. Thank you for praying with us for God to give us clear direction.

I have met a man from Piedras Negras, Miguel, who is interested in starting a church in his neighborhood. Miguel and I discussed in detail a process for establishing a local church and he is following this plan. Please pray for Miguel and for us to have further opportunity to assist him in establishing this work.

Br. Pelayo and the church at Nava are doing very well. They are continuing to grow and add families to the congregation. They are increasing in spiritual maturity and it is such a blessing to witness the love and fellowship of this body of believers.

Prayer Requests for the Whites:

  • Nava: Victory Baptist church to continue growing and serving the Lord
  • Guerrero: souls to be saved and for God to bless the church that he has brought together
  • Piedras Negras: Miguel to establish a solid local church in his colonia.

Hebrews 11, Again.

Hebrews 11 is a long, glorious chapter, and we barely made a dent in it Sunday ... so we've decided to spend another week in it before moving on to chapter 12.

So once again this Sunday, our passage will be Hebrews 11.
